San Francisco

Fractional CFO for San Francisco & Bay Area companies

Bay Area businesses live and die by unit economics: cohort retention, contribution margin, LTV to CAC, payback, and the discipline to know which growth is worth funding. That's the work I do.

I serve as a fractional CFO to San Francisco consumer technology, subscription, and marketplace companies — building the operating plan, the investment frameworks, and the investor-grade reporting that support the next raise or transaction. Engagements are remote, on Pacific hours.

Who I work with in the Bay Area

Consumer technology
Consumer software, hardware, and platform businesses scaling past their first finance hire.
Subscription & DTC
Recurring-revenue and membership models where retention math drives valuation.
Marketplaces & platforms
Two-sided and multi-sided businesses balancing take rate, supply investment, and contribution margin.
PE-backed & founder-led
Sponsor-owned platforms and founder businesses needing institutional-grade finance without a full-time CFO.

The experience behind it

I led corporate development and M&A at Amazon — $1B+ in acquisitions across digital content, consumer internet, and devices — and owned business planning for a subscription service with 85M+ subscribers, launching multiple 0→1 businesses that drove $1B in value.

A Citigroup-trained investment banker turned operator, I bring both sides: the diligence standard capital providers expect, and the operating judgment to run the business against a plan.

How I help

Capital allocation frameworks
Unit economics, LTV/CAC, contribution margin, and scenario analysis to decide where the next dollar goes.
Fundraise readiness
Model, data room, and diligence management for equity and debt processes through to close.
FP&A that scales
Bottoms-up plans, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis tied to real operating drivers.
M&A advisory
Buy-side and sell-side execution: valuation, diligence, structuring, and integration.

Remote, and available where you are

Engagements run remotely with a cadence set to your team's calendar. Alongside San Francisco and the wider Bay Area, I work with companies in Los Angeles and New York.

Let's build the finance function your business needs to scale.

Whether you're preparing to raise capital, evaluating a transaction, or scaling the business — let's talk.
